My artistic and community-based social practice sometimes overlaps with research, consulting, and advisory work in special archives and collections. I am passionate about reconnecting Lenca ancestral heritage to living heirs and working with museums on systemic issues to give a better context to Lenca Archaic and misfit Mesoamerican collections.
I am thrilled to have been able to connect Maya Lenca Nation with the collection and journals of Samuel K. Lothrop from 1924-26 in Central America housed at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian with an archive of over 7,000 objects! Relevant Roles
